Bean curd and pork balls soup

2 pieces of bean curd sticks
10 red dates
100 gms minced pork
1 tsp corn flour
Dash of sesame oil
Salt & pepper to taste
800 ml stock

Soak the bean curd sticks until soft
Add salt, pepper, sesame oil and a little corn flour to the minced pork
Leave to stand for about ½ hour
Boil the stock
Add the red dates and simmer for half hour and bring back to boiling
Shape the minced pork into little balls and drop into the boiling water
Add the softened bean curd sticks
Bring to the boil and then simmer for another 10 minutes
